Tower Hobbies and Horizon Hobby are both offering discounts on ready-to-run bashers, trail trucks, quadcopters, and more. I'm sure the others Hobao cars are nice, but not the Hyper MT sport plus. You can still snag some deals on select R/C models and gear, thanks to a few online “12 Days of Christmas” sales. I had good communication with the hobao taiwan support, really very good communication, but i had feedback that US hobao support doesn't even answer when you have a problem on a brand new truck. The handling of the Hyper MT isn't very easy also. I also managed to bend the rear end of the aluminum chassis without doing as big jump as Vaz does in his videos. At fisrt use i managed to break so much parts on the Hyper MT on 6s, that i didn't break on the Kraton, with a Kraton which is faster. I largely prefer the Arrma Kraton, not as big, but with a better size to be more durable. There are lot of feedbacks about broken CVD on the MT sport plus. I recently break a CVD, hopefully i have some, but they are expensive. The slipper, which is expensive, is an option. It does wheelie very easily but it doesn't come with a wheelie bar. outdrive also, which confirm he received a V1 drivetrain. When i watch the killeroffroadhobbyz review on the MT plus that he purchase recently, his chassis came with the V1 drivetrain, he needed to upgrade it, with the diff. When i bought mine i previously asked to Hobao if the Sport plus came with the last drivetrain, they answered me yes and i received a V1 drivetrain. V1 drivetrain? V2 drivetrain, last drivetrain parts upgraded on the V2? It is really hard to know what we will get with this chassis. Also, when you buy a Hyper MT sport plus you don't even know what will come inside. Or to use it on 4s only and reach 50km/h, no more. More i use my hobao Hyper MT more i won't advise to buy this chassis. this here would blow away anything offered by Traxxas or Tamiya: They are also supported through Tower and Omni Models. If you're hard set on not paying sales tax, then take a look at HoBao, I think they're based out of Virginia: Personally, I think Horizon products will save you far more money over the long haul with the added tax expense when compared to the overpriced products that Traxxas sells, not to mention the convenience of getting parts delivered the next day since you live so close to the distribution center, ha! It seems that Traxxas has spite themselves by putting too much control over the market to shut down their competition but they took things too far and now their largest distributor went out of business. more about my thoughts on the subject here: There are many ways to look at this situation, I personally blame Traxxas for all the problems you are experiencing. I think this would be a good opportunity to evaluate your choice in brands to support.
